John's 96 xj build

Well I saved up my money all senior year of high school, and I really wanted another jeep. My other was a 94 xj, but it rolled. So I bought a 96 cherokee for $650. Still had parts from my old xj to use.

Bumper off

Fender flares gone.

Rubicon express leaf springs should be in this week. I've been spraying the rear shock bolts with pb blaster, I hope they don't break off.

So, My jeep stalled out on me today on a trail. Wasn't getting any spark. I looked at the relay's cause that was the problem last time. Had to get it towed to my friends house. I'm hoping that its just the crank shaft sensor.

Ended up being the crank shaft sensor. 70 bucks later, it started.

Leaf springs came in!!!
Took 9 hours to install the rear leafs.
Im happy that only one bolt broke off in the body from the rear shocks. So it wasn't that bad.

I'm pretty sure the starter died today. Tried to start it and it was just clicking. Hear this happens to Cherokee starters.
