Thanks man! Yes it's very tough! I've drove it for about a year and a half with out doing anything major. But now it's time to get to work!

Well I had a few minutes to spare this morning so I stopped by a local junkyard to see if they might have a HP D30 out of a 96-99 Cherokee. Sure enough they had got a 96 model in that had the HP D30 in it that I was looking for. They had already sold the hubs, knuckles, and axle shafts off of it which was fine with me because I only need the housing. So I got the housing and gears for $100. Can't beat that!!

Started working on the HP 30 yesterday. Plan is to get it all cleaned up and remove any factory brackets that are no longer needed. Then get the Clayton truss w/ 3 link mount and HD LCA mounts welded on. I also ordered new Synergy ball joints on Friday. Once the front end is done I can start my lift.

new Clayton truss

Finally got the Clayton truss w/ 3 link mount and HD lower control arm brackets welded on to the HP dana 30. Big thanks to my Dad for all the welding! Then cleaned on the rest of it a little more and got it under primer. It's ready for gears and an ARB locker!!

I'm finally ready to order my gears and lockers. What gear ratio are you guys running with a 6 speed/ 35" tire combo? And what is the best air source for air lockers? I was thinking the ARB twin compressor? Anyone?

I just went to JK 5.13's with my 6 speed and while I lost top speed it is much more driveable now . If I wasnt going to be towing the trailer 4.88's would have been fine .

Thanks Beasley. I will probably never be towing anything so I think 4:88's will do just fine.

Wow I haven't updated in a while. Finally got a couple free weekends to work on the jeep and get it finished up! Everything turned out nice.

Here are some pics of the lift install...

Got all my air lines routed and compressor installed. Lockers seem to be working fine! I'll have some pics of the install as soon as I can get them loaded up.
