So getting a used tailgate, using a old drive shaft and modify it to work, pick up used racing harnesses, finding a used winch will all get me brownie points.

To date (these are all estimations, I dont keep track on purpose):

Paint/body work and supplies est. $1200.00 and counting
Wheels and tires $2200.00
Cage work $30.00 pizza/beer
Hydro steering $600.00
Headlights $380.00
Taillights $70.00
50" LED $340.00
LED Brackets $100.00
LED spot lights $150.00
Spot light brackets $50.00
Radiator $150.00
Shocks $360.00
Mirrors $100.00
Mastercraft seats $700.00
Audio equipment $650.00
Tailgate $200.00
Gauges $600.00
Dash $??????
Bumpers $300 i think
Fuel lines and fittings $220.00
Switches $200.00
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total that I can remember $8600.00

Plus initial investment of buying the Jeep from Hendrix in less than a year. I still probably need to sink another $2-3K into it to get it where I want it this year. My goal was $10,000 or less.
Wow ... I am not putting that kind of evidence in my thread

Not a big deal. She knows what I spend on the jeep. I forgot all the hardware. Every but and bolt I have taken off has been replaced by a new one. I'm sure I have about $300 into hardware by now.

That jeep was in perfect shape too. Not a spot of rust on it. 5-SPd 4.0 too.
