Great build. I'm thinking of getting rid of my YJ and moving to a Rubi, probably a LJ, this build was inspirational. I just found it today, so while working from home and "listening" to a leader symposium, I read all 90+ pages. Again, great work.
Ready to trade it for YJ....again?
I like your photos as well. That's my hobby and I always have one of my Nikon's with me.

Yeah get rid of it so someone can use it like it was suppose to be. Id like to get a 4dr honda and buy a 70s full size truck to have fun with. I too am getting tired of my TJ.

I'm seriously thinking once I get the control arms, I'm done building it. It'll be totally built enough to do what I need / want it to do. Anything else seems to be overkill.

You should go with 4.88 gears with that auto.

You go Jeffro. That's what i would do. Just wheel it. And enjoy driving it. Don't be like most of us and build the snot out of just to walk past it in the garage every day.

Being as how I'm not a mechanic at heart, I don't want the Rubi to become a pita to me. The YJ got to be too much work, needed more than my abilities could provide, thus the switch to the TJ.
I'm going to get this rig set up to where I can drive it to Moab and back, and enjoy the ride at all times, and still have the confidence I can make it home. I've done it once, but I want to do it again, and I want to do some harder trails next time.
Bigger tires and bigger gears may be in my jeeps future, but not until they are needed. I like metalcloaks and other high line fenders, but I'm going to hold off on those kinds of mods for a few years. The control arms will be here sooner than that...hopefully, but probably not before the end of the year.
In the mean time I plan on getting back out there and having some fun......as soon as time permits it.
ps: I could really never get rid of my Jeep, I do drive it each and everyday.

Once you have your control arms you can buy the TT skid you want and throw a BL on it and put the 305/70/16 and have a rockin nice jeep. Do you already have a new cv ds?

That's true, but the TT and BL will be down the road (or off the road) a ways. I have a few other toys I'd like to get a hold of too.
Keep in mind, if I fall into a **** pot full of money, all bets are off.

I'm not getting it...... is the steering on backorder? If not that is some of the worst customer service I have ever heard of. One thing I can't stand is slack *** shipping time.

I'm guessing the delay is because of KOH, but I'm not sure. I was told Blaine was getting it for finishing......I guess its not quite finished.
