Is the latch designed to snap into place or have something to hold it in place when closed? Wouldnt want to see it pop off and the tire carrier swing open.

I'm letting Kevin use his creativity.

I believe that latch has a safety on it, so it can't pop open.

ECGS got my new shafts shipped last night....now that's service.

That latch wont budge. We us them at work all the time on our vacuum trucks. There on all the doors to our filtration systems, and on the filters, and in other random locations. You add quite a bit of tension on them when there are in the closed position. You can drop a safety pin in it just in case if you want.

Im not a fan of the tire spindle designs. There really not made for what people use them for. Ive had this thought in the back of my mind for awhile.
