Well the problem is solved, and it was so simple my mechanic was embarrassed to tell me what it was. The sad thing is I thought about it too, but ruled it out....because I had tested the issue and it was still there, or I thought I did.
So no cat problem. There was no fuel pressure issue so the filter wasn't messed with either.
Give up?
After doing the Cloak install, and relocating the air box the intake on the box was pointing straight up, touching the hood when closed, thus not letting any air into the motor.
So if there was ever a duh moment in my mechanical (or lack of mechanical) abilities.....this is the mother duh moment of them all. I swear I had the hood up once, while parked, and it still had the issue. But now I'm starting to doubt that I had the hood up when I did the test in park and may have put it up afterwards. Oh well, whatever, it's fixed now and I don't have to spend a fortune on cats, or filters or a new Mustang.
I don't feel too bad, because nobody suggested it either....
Anyway the intake "snorkle" was moved and the Jeep runs like a raped ape....on the plus side, I know the jeep is in great mechanical condition otherwise...
Let the pointing and laughing begin..................
I'll start.

Well at least you got it figured out! Bonus! I would bet that most jeeples that have installed Cloaks already had aftermarket CAI's so that particular problem never arose? Oh yeah, I'm supposed to make fun of you now.....

I actually woke up the other morning thinking about the intake, then thought to myself, "no, it can't be, you had the hood up and it still did it"....
I do love it when it's so simple it's stupid....costs less that way too.

I would have taken it a lot worse had the shop charged me out the ***, but they didn't, since they felt as stupid as I did.

Did my 5-tire rotation today @ 43,653 miles....that's 13,753 miles on the MTR's. The MTR's are getting louder, and seem to be wearing even, but quicker than my TrXus MT's did. I'm guessing they'll go 30,000 miles, maybe.
I also changed my oil today.
Oh, and I got caught (topless) in a pretty good down pour today too, could have used wipers on the inside of the windshield...lol.

This afternoon I was just settling into my recliner to watch some motocross when the FedEx guy showed up and dropped a big box on my porch. I was like wth?
Much to my surprise it was my rear flares! The e-mail I got said they should arrive by the 21st, so I wasn't expecting them, especially on a Saturday.
I jumped up out of my recliner and put them on.
Before:
After:
If you haven't figured it out yet, I went with Xenon 4" flat flares.
Hopefully the sliders will be done next week.
