I'm contemplating a LoD rear bumper / tire carrier. That stock piece of crap needs to go.

Check out BESRK... his bumpers are great. Real high quality, and IIRC, they are cheaper too.

LoD is well worth the price. I haven't read one bad review about them yet.

The OME is every bit as good a ride as stock.

Flatback is just taking the spare tire and carrier off and throwing the spare in the back or something. I ran it like that for a while but I put it back on because i got tired of having nowhere to put anything.

The extra body roll isn't a factor, the extra flex is something else though. The YJ spoiled me, not having a swaybar to disconnect was nice. I didn't want to fight with diso's, and the antirock was only about twice the price of a quality disconnect. Besides, the antirock looks cool too.

That's kind of what I thought, but I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something.

Just wait until you wheel with it. The stability gained over running disconnected with a coil spring suspension is worth its weight in gold.
