Rear crossmember is burned in.
I also did the final burn on my coil mounts. I'm pretty happy with the coil mounts, except for one weld where I really couldn't get the welder close enough for a better weld, but i'm not worried about the overall strength.

I'm going to have to change how the body mount is located since there isn't enough room to have it where I was going to put it.

I will get some more photos later today

Well My crossmember didn't turn out as I had planned because of space constraints. My fuel cell is about 9.5" across and I want to be able to put that between the frame rails eventually sunk into the floor.

After I put the fuel cell in, I will probably add some gussets to the square box.

Put the axle under the jeep today for an estimated placement. I may have a problem with my crossmember and my axle truss, but I will have to wait to get the tires and the links built to see if it will be a problem.

I also painted the metal pieces between the body mounts and the body.

I only had a short time to work on the jeep today since it was Easter.

Out of curiosity...

I'm looking at (long term) doing my rear suspension in a similar way to yours but I'm concerned about the huge cutout in the frame. Is there room on top of the frame to maybe run a big piece of box tube or something?

Have you thought about tying the cage into the frame back there as well to add some support to the rear section?

did some welding and grinding.
welded the skid plate mounts in after I broke 2 bolts removing them. Also did a little grinding on one control arm, but it was getting late and I didn't want to piss the neighbors off.

needs a little clean up

I am planning on putting a reinforcement piece on top of the frame as well.

Thanks. You and me both on seeing it finished. I wanted to get some work done on it today, but I decided to set the injection timing on my suburban instead. One trip to autozone since it's closest, some cutting and welding, and I had a "custom" 15mm wrench to loosen up the pump.

I'm waiting on a tool from ballistic so I can unscrew the joints.

well I did a little work today. Both lower arms are welded together.

Also drilled out the the lower arms for the larger bolts.

Rebuilt the passenger side E brake which I broke like 3 years ago.

Broke a brake line. The one that costs $75 from the dealership which they don't have any in the surrounding states and to top it all off it's back ordered for 2-3+ months. It's the one that goes from the driver rear caliper to the rubber line and then into a hard line.

I'm going to go to NAPA and see if they possibly could get it. If that doesn't work, I'm going to go to a junk yard and see if I can find a comparable piece.

It's not the length i'm worried about, but the banjo bolt.

Hopefully tomorrow I will get the uppers built and maybe get the jeep on it's only weight.

Lower arms are painted and assembled.

Also the E brake is assembled after not having one for probably 3 years.

E brakes

Semi painted lower arms

Chopped the angle off of the F250 mounts. I may end up cutting them down more, but they will work for right now.

Welded the Bumper mounts on. Notice the date change of the photos. The bumper was welded together in my driveway at 1:30am... No grinding, just welding. A police car drove by and just kept driving.

Painted arms with rustoleum Hammer finish black paint.

Called it quits early this evening... around 1115pm.
The lower arms are under the jeep.
Painted the rear crossmember
Painted under 7 of the body mounts on the frame
Painted the rear bumper

Did a lot of thinking on how everything is going to go together.

My rear brake lines are ordered. I also picked up 5 of my needed jam nuts. They had to order the other left hand threaded 7/8 one I needed.

I think as it sits right now it's 101-101.5" I'm going to cut more out of the body in the rear and I will probably have to shorten the wheelbase to around 100-100.5" I will probably cut along the rear most line on the corners. The one that wraps around. I may have trouble with my 36s rubbing more, but I will keep it as long as possible.
