Man that is the million dollar question I don't know who's garage I can park this thing in to get it done! I have a few more things to buy (brake line,etc...). We are getting close to surgery!

Garage space...one of my biggest hurdles! How long do you plan on having it in the garage? I'll keep my ears open!

I'll be at EJS most of the week. Looking forward to meeting up!

Not long. I have the garage, but not the welding experience. I really don't want to pay for a shop to do it. I got a buddy in Denver who may help out, but haven't solidified that yet. How long did it take you? You interested in welding?

I only want it down long enough to remove the old parts and weld on the new brackets. I can see if I can trailer it home and wait for the DS here.

What did you do with the brake line?

I don't think I will make EJS this year. Maybe early May.

I'd be happy to weld. I did it along with many other projects. Not sure on time but you could probably get it done in a day or two.

I swapped my axle at the same time, so I think our brake lines are different. I have a hard line running down the inside of the driver frame rail. It ties into a soft line from there, to the center of the axle where it splits.

My hard line follows the frame rail as well. Then a soft line going to axle tube on the drivers side of the pumpkin. I can't decide if I want to extend the hard line or use some braided soft line.

Thanks for the offer to weld. I was thinking a day or two to measure, cut, weld. I am keeping the Dana 44 for now so only the lower shock mounts need to be changed there.

Do you have any experience with a stick (SMAW) welder. I just got a ancient one for free and had a 220 line hooked up the garage. The welder works. I was going to start messing around to learn, but haven't fired it up yet.

I've done a fair amount of stick welding, and would be happy to lend a hand. I usually Tues & Weds off, but might be able to accommodate other days. We might be able to do it on this side of the pass. If you want to start tomorrow, I have the next 2 off. We already have the welder set up. I also have a spare vehicle if you want it for a day or 2.

As far as the brake line. I added a RE soft line straight from the end of the hardline, to the axle. I don't remember the length I bought. If you want I can take a measurement.

Let me know!

A week from now could work for me! Figure out which days work for you, and let me know.

It's Billy's garage, and he drinks Pabst...so do I!
