Workin on her as we speak..ran into a problem with my motor mounts, the one for the drivers side is to long by just an inch or two.so I'm swapping passenger motor
mount for driver
Motor mount, and to be able to do that I need to extend my bracket lower for the passenger one to fit.ill up date later and show more pictures after I get it bolted in and hopefully started, hoping to hear her hum Monday night.

If you don't mind me asking, how much money do you have invested into the engine swap, axles, gears, lockers? I am thinking about swapping out my 4.2 for a 4BT but I am not sure how much it will cost all together.

I say go for it its takin me time cuz I only make between 350 an 400 a week.I opted to buy everything separate, because I couldn't find a good donor truck.ill go down the list of every thing I've bought because its going matter on what you want.

Jeep-3,000$
4bt.-3,000$
Nv4500.-1,000$
37" iroks-1,200$
Soa springs-800$
Rims 400$
Axles 300$
Clutch parts 300$
Odds and ends- between 500-1000$

All together I'm going to have around 12,000 into it give or take..

If I were to do I again i would definitely buy a donor truck..I didnt realize how many odds and ends you need, and the odds and ends you need for this swap are hard to come buy..luckly I found a guy on Craigslist that owns 30 cummins trucks,I've bought off him 3 times now.he's hooked me up even gave me stock bolts and washers.and he was cheap too.I would have ended up spending a lot more if I hadn't found this guy..so yeah it all depends on what you want and what you already have.my jeep was bone stock before I started so 12k might sound like a lot but after its all done the only thing that's going to be stock is the frame, body and transfer case..

You've probably already looked around 4btswaps.com right? They have a lot of good information on there.I searched around for what other ppl did for like a month or 2. And just keep doing research until I pulled the trigger.

That's awesome, buy a donor truck if possible it makes odds and ends easier to find! It's takin me about 10 months to get to now but totally going to be worth it when I get her driving.
