I don't know what I like more, the paint or the horn

Life is tough enough already, but it's even tougher when you're stupid

Well I tell ya...I got a set of airhorns on my Jeep too. Tryed all kinds of them...semi horns, boat horns, italian ones....but before I had onboard air, I had these cheesy lil plastic ones that had like a 3oz air compressor that came with them.
Well I liked the Italian ones, but they too had a compressor that had come with them and I was afraid that I would blow them up with the onboard air. So I figured that I would try the plastic tripple horns that I had....if I blew those up...no biggie.
Well let me tell ya...WHeee doggies....you take them cheepie horns and CRANK 130lbs of air through them....and they just SCREAM!
A sure cure for the ol "road rage". I don't get mad....I just give them the "horn"!!

PS and them animals in the roadway shift into high gear when I go by.

It actually don't rub unless I get in real bad holes. I use it mainly for swamp rides so it does good like it is.

Why won't it fit on your XJ? I haven't looked under the hood but it really doesnt take much room. I put one on a 2001 Chevy Blazer. It was tight but it worked.

I worked up a bracket that I placed the horns on, with the compressor sitting inside the bracket. I don't have too much room under the hood to fit it in. But, in a way I'd rather have it on my Ford. I do a lot of highway driving with my XJ and the last vehicle I had Dixie on just got laughed at. People could'nt seem to figure out I was actually honking at them.

Thats another nice thing about the cheap plastic ones, they are short and I could fit them outside the hood. I have them mounted under the front of the Jeep, so all the sound gets out! Just fabricated a mount and ran a 1/4 air line to them.
I have a set of brass Kahlenberg Yacht Air Horns, but don't think I'll ever find a place to put them, they are huge.
