That project is on the back burner at the moment. So it may be a while till you see any updates on it. There are only 3 of us in the shop so you can imagine how long it takes to go through some of these projects.

I totally understand where your coming from. Its still nice to see one of those old oldsmobiles around, expecially when its slated to be redone.

The CD player is mounted in the glove box. This of course will be hidden by the glove box door. I just haven't mounted it yet.We left a little slot below for his registration etc.. The owner's wife told him it will make a good place to put his traffic tickets.

Nice work but it would drive me crazy if I had a USB flash drive sticking out of the stereo, I wouldnt be able to close the glove box. Everytime I romped on the gas (which I would be doing often in that thing), my registration and traffic tickets will be all over the floor.

Yeah, but I highly doubt this guy will be using the flash drive anyways. He just picked this CD player because the face was green. There was not really a lot of options of where to put it so the owner decided the glove box would be the best option. Besides, if you really want to, you can get a small enough flash drive to fit in there with the glove box shut.

I've been tying up some loose ends on some other projects and I took a weeks vacation. I should have some updated pics soon.

Hopefully soon. We had some delays with the engine and that put the Jeep on the back burner for a while. Its supposed to be on the dyno this week. We have some other projects going on at the moment, but ill get you some updates soon.

Finally have an update for you guys. I saw the engine run on the dyno today. I'll probably pick it up in the next day or two. The engine made 550.2 hp and 638 ft. lbs. of torque on the dyno. It is capable of more but we are trying to keep it somewhat streetable. It should be more than enough for this Jeep. I put up a YouTube video its nothing to exciting but you can see it run.

We got the engine and transmission in the frame. The headers are off to Jet-Hot for coating.

Wow, I just read the whole thing. The Jeep looks GREAT, and it is something that I think should be done a lot more often with the old 2wd trucks.
