JCs Build, Project: Sahara

I have joined this site back in march or maybe alittle before when I purchased a used 2000 TJ Sahara. It had a 4in Procomp lift on it when I bought it and it was rolling on 33's.

This is when I bought it:

Picked up the jeep bug and went topless!

Most current pic I have is from my friends photography project.

For my first Jeep I have owned, I am pretty excited to begin building this jeep to be a capable DD and weekend warrior! Opinions and suggestions on what to do next!

~JC

How are you planning to use the Jeep? Daily driver...? Trail rig...?

Its my Daily Driver. However I do want it to be funtional! I have done a few mods recently.
1) Changed out the stock lights for some Delta H4 assemblies. So much better.
2) Advanced Adapters NP231 shifter bracket. Shifts so much better now!

Soon to come mods.
1) Hack n Tap SYE in progress. I have rear currie arms and am awaiting to get a junk yard DS.
2) Rock sliders
3) bumpers
4) Axles.
Axles is my last item cause I dont wanna upgrade the D35 gears just to have 33s snapping with my 4.56 gears. Id like to build a HP30 and most likely build a 8.8 through ECGS unless I can find a bolt in D44 locally!

Nice Jeep. I'd be afraid to take it off road where I live until I gots tons of body armor or else It would get too scratched and banged up! Good luck with it!

I'm no expert, but your list sounds good to me.

You probably want to consider getting a swing-out tire carrier if you upgrade your rear bumper. I've seen a 33" tire tear off the factory spare holder, over time.

It was some type of Nikon. Its all about the type photo. Its an HDR photo with some tone mapping. HDR is a multi-layer image that really show cases the lighting in photos like these. The Tone mapping really helps dial in the color!

In preperation for my SYE install. Im gonna pick up a Craftsman torque wrench. What size range should I look for? Also going to pick up some snap ring and lock ring pliers! For the Currie Upper arms, what type of grease should i use?
