Hey your on 35s w 4.10 gears right? How she driving, I was guns get 35s but that dude backed out. Just wondering if she drives like a slug lol. Btw jeep is looking great!
Yea 4.10's still, so far it really hasn't been that bad. I also have the 'dreaded' 42RLE auto trans and really can't complain. So I'd have to imagine that the stick would be much better off.
I will def be regearing to 5.13's, but I'll have to run it like this for a little while, at least til I sell my other car, which I have no need for, but I can deal for the time being, especially since I don't daily drive it, but still prob would...
Last week I rattle canned the Rokmens black just so they didn't look out of place anymore in just primer. Did it while they were mounted as I was taking the Jeep out over the weekend... Still need to go over them better, with some seam sealer and get the spots on the inside that I couldn't get to, but that'll probably be in the spring when its nice out again, but for now at least it'll look half decent!
And while out on Saturday, I had a little bit of carnage... Not too thrilled but oh well its a Jeep.
Here's the story, was making a tight turn through a couple trees, very slow speed, thought I had it, if anything just rub the side of the fender, but guess not. Didn't even notice til I got home and did my walk around, as I barely touched the tree, or so I remember... I had backed up and got a better line, and kept on going, didn't think anything of it.
Tomorrow I'lltake the fender off and do what I can to straighten it out, as the bottom folded in and push the top of the fender up a little making the hood rub. No issues with the fan or anything, so thats a plus.
Also bent my ZJ tie rod pretty good, so I'm looking into the Savvy/Currie Ultimate steering and be done with it.
My attempt at fixing the body damage from last time out (me bashing with a mallet). Just need to touch up the paint and it wont look too bad. I think I'll be covering it up down the road with some TNT side armor and some A to Z sliders.
Heres the washer bottle all hooked up. Just one bolt, but its pretty stable and can't realy go anywhere being that the hood is just above it, but fits like its meant to be there.
With the new up travel potential of the new fenders, are you going to run shorter springs?
Wasn't planning on changing anything anytime soon. They are only 2" springs, but I do have a 3/4" spacer up front from before the fenders to compensate for the winch, which I will most likely pull soon.
Haven't done a whole lot of testing to see what could change/improve, so I will wheel it like it is for a while and see what changes I should make...
