No garage at the ready... And not personally set up to do welding. Not doing any of this stuff out in the cold anyway. If I had a garage/welder, I'd be twiddling my thumbs with nothing left to install.

But I've been still getting in a good amount of snow wheeling so that helps me forget a bit about the pile of parts.

Like I mentioned tho, cage will be started soon, so that will be nice to knock off the list. Then regear and the other goodies I have for the rear. CJ tailgate I'll sit on til its much warmer, so I can do it in my driveway and get a decent paint job on it..

It is a HUGE difference. Just had my Jeep regeared about a month ago. 4.10's to 5.13's is great.

Its called east coast weather. You wouldnt understand working in a 20* garage or not having a garage at all

Quick Question, how much uptravel do you have in the rear of your Jeep? It's 3" of lift right?

Don't have an exact measurement but I use all the space in my wheel wells but don't rub. The rear is only BDS 2" springs. Got 1.25" BL as well.

I will agree with this. I had the LJ up to about 65mph and like G Beasley said the RPM's are aboutt 2750. I went on to 70mph and its just at 3000. Helps here at elevation.

Thats fine by me, I never go above 70 in the Jeep anyway. I usually try to find backroads to cruise on when I can too...

The only highway I hit 70mph on is I-70 out towards the mountains where 3kRPM's is a must just to keep up with all the other traffic. When I had the stock Rubicon gearing it was constantly shifting between 3rd and 4th just to keep speed and 3500-4000rpm was normal coming up the passes.

66 mph is where mine feels the best on the highway and that is 2800 rpms . On the back roads its even better . I only posted the 70 mph thing because so many people seem to think we are driving a sports car .

We usually hit 90 on the way to wheeling spots if we're not going up i70. It's the only kind of racing this jeep will ever see. The two guys I know with 5.13's have no problems keeping up and they don't seem to complain about high rpms.
