And got out for a few hours today.

Tried this a couple times, just couldn't get the tires to grip it and didn't want to push my luck as I got a trip to Maine in a couple weeks.

But I did try again a bit to the right, still no luck

This was a pretty nasty hillclimb. Got most of the way, just kept getting denied near the top, again, didn't want to push it.

Nick, ever going to do a cage? Seems like more than a few situations where knowing you've got more than the factory bars to rely on would be a good thing.

Absolutely. I've come close a couple times to flopping. Just at this time, if I even bought a cage kit, I don't know when I can get it in, as its harder to get on a welder at my convenience...

Definitely next up on the list tho.

Did a few things over the last couple days...

Turned my old soft top into a bikini top using a grommet kit from Harbor Freight, pair of scissors and a bunch of zip ties. I'll leave it like this till its too cold and then the frameless Rampage will go back on, but this should help me to not ruin it.

What it started out as:

NOW:

And finally got around to getting some better sound in the rig. Nalin speaker/tweeter adapters and Polk Component System. Got some Polks going in the sound pods tomorrow as well!

Got back late last night, was an awesome time! Great day of wheeling up a mountain on Saturday, crazy party that night and then some lighter logging trails on Sunday.

Just some pics I got from others, I didn't take many myself.

The ride up.

Airing down.

CJ flopped 1/2hr into the ride!

Some of the group sitting atop an obastacle as we were watching others.

Top of the mountain.

Heading down.

Ooops.

First time I've seen this done in person, worked well and got him off the mountain, which was a good mile down.

Fun hill/rock climb at the top of the mountain. Looks much bigger in person!

When we got back to where we were staying we did this:

And this!

He had a concrete pad just for burnouts, lot of rigs roasted some junk tires! A lot of smoke, but at least it kept the bugs away. Lot of drinking and just a good ol' time!

Awesome man, looks like it was a rowdy, care free, stress relieving experience. I could use one right now!

And how do those speakers sound? looks like a major improvement.

Awesome. Nice and crisp/clear and I can crank it up without any crackling like the stock speakers, that were just plain shot.

Yea I'm really liking it up here more and more, especially when the Jeep can take me places that not a lot of people get to see. Where abouts in the NE were you?

And just a few more pics that I was able to get...
