Thank you sir

I pressure washed and ran a wire brush across some rusty spots on my new (to me) rockers.
Gen-Right wheel well to wheel well rockers

In the next couple of days I'm going to spray a little paint on them then hopefully I'll have time to install them.
You may notice there's already a 3" circle in the passenger side rocker... I bought them from the same guy I bought my snorkel from almost a year ago. The rockers and snorkel are now reunited

I had time to install one, yes one of my rockers yesterday.

The story goes that I need 5/16th RivNuts that I couldn't find anywhere locally, not even a Fastenal store so I had to order the six from GenRight for $18, shipping was twice the parts cost

Couple of coats of flat black

Fitting and marking

I hacked up my stock bumper to make a backing for the rockers

then made it look a little better and drilled that

Rocker and backing bolted on from the inside

And from the outside

I will need to take them off whenever I get my RivNuts since they're only on with 4 of 7 bolts on the sides, the others require a RivNut because the tub is double walled. I'll also seal it with silicone then.

I didn't do the passenger like I planned on because in order to install it I need to remove, then replace the snorkel which is a major pain in the *** so I only want to do it once.

Other than that I'm about to buy those eBay tube fenders and I'm also looking into steering... perhaps Currie any maybe even a ram for hydro assist.

I'm working out the other stuff first. Rather have a well built Jeep than a cheap lift and big tires. Tires will come in time though.

I got a set of these little things: Rigid Industries Dually LED

They're very bright for their size and power consumption is that of an incandescent turn signal

They're extremely well built, tested waterproof and built in the USA

I will definitely be buying more Rigid products when I want more lighting.

On another note I'm about to make a couple slightly wallet breaking purchases for the Jeep... I'll post up information when it's done.

Can I tell you I love the bumper sticker on the first page where your GF is under the Jeep! I want one!!!

I came across this thread randomly, but I'll be transferring to USF in the fall it would be cool to take our Jeeps out when I'm in the area!

I'll be on my way to Indiana in a month and then the Jeep will only be in FL in the summer Maybe then?

So I ordered a few pieces of sheet metal

And some more metal

Savvy aluminum corners and metalcloak arched fenders. Should fit nicely with the rockers, which I'll have to trim in the front.

I'm set on still having an intake higher than stock and leaning towards creating a "hummer style" intake through the cowl... no real concrete plans yet though.

I'm moving towards LED which will start with the turn signals. At less than $40/6 lights these are a lot less expensive than individual LEDs on Metalcloak, Poison Spyder's, Genright's sites and I already have a pair of red delta LEDs and they're very high quality.

Mine

I want to wire them so I have a turn signal on both the front and side then the third light on each side will act as a running light.

I want to run LEDs in the corners too instead of bolting up my stock lights which suck anyways. I was thinking about buying a simple but attractive 4" stop/turn/tail then wiring a seperate backup light... maybe another Dually wishful thinking.

Now it's just a waiting game... I hope these get here before I move

Edit: Oh yeah, and that means that the snorkel, fenders and flares will be up for sale soon

Went wheeling with the local Jeep club and got a little sideways...

Guess that's what happens when you follow the YJ with a cam'd 454 and 40-something inch boggers...

Hopefully I'll have the pictures from an outside camera soon

Believe me, nor can I.

I'm thinking about what I'm going to paint them with because I ordered everything bare metal.... At first I was going to just Krylon them a matte black but after seeing and touching the bed lined hood on another Jeep today I think I may go that route. I'll have to find out what kind of bed liner he used because it wasn't overly textured, just a nice powercoat like texture.

I know rustolem has a rubberized undercoating that looks textured but not the bed lined look.

Yesterday the starter finally gave out so I pulled it and the auto store tested it bad. I bought a new one, had it in within 20 minutes now the Jeep starts better than it did before I bought it.

Some more pictures from wheeling taken by a new friend in the club

Today I bought an Aussie locker from another JF member so no more open diffs
I also bought LED turn signals, tail lights and an LED strip so I can fab a license plate light

One thing you might wanna consider when going flareless is when you go muddin it'll make the cleanup a lot worse haha you should look into xenon 4" flat flares or something if thats the look you're going for..

Either way looks great so far
