Probably going to look for a tj or lj frame and tub and swap everything over.
The drive train seems to be ok so far. I drove it off the trailer and into the garage. It didnt make any strange noises or anything from the motor or tranny. Well other than the noises coming from the rear axle and shocks as they rubbed and popped.
The sad thing is that the jeep only had 16,800 mile on it. It was just getting broke in.
Oh well, looks like I will be co-dawg'n for john in the A class now.
Man, I'd look for something that's at least wheelable. that's a **** ton of work to swap all that over, with no wheeling until it's 100%. Plus, I'd be able to do more **** than you for a while. Hmmm, the nutkick smiley must be on IndyORV...
I'm so sorry to see this, that vid was so intense and you my friend are an amazing racer. Considering you kept up right behind that guy the entire race and you were eating dust with 50% visability or less. Unfortunately with that kinda wheeling, very small calculated mistakes are far worse then slow speed stuff.
I really can't even try to put myself in your shoes right now w/out feeling sick to my stomach, but through the tragic events I've faced in my life, I've learned that everything happens for a reason and things always turn out better if you let em..
