Nice build buddy! I was just talking to my son the other day about looking for a silver TJ for us to build up for him. I think they look badass! I would put a bunch of raw aluminum on it! Those Rokmens are gonna look great when completed, keep at it.
Well, another saturday, another bailed welder. No fear though, got some other work done. Friday the JK turns showed up as well as the new Rokmen pin. You'll notice I went with the smoked color JK turns, how I wonder if I shoulda went clears - either way I would have second guessed myself.
I didn't finish mount the hood pins yet - think I am going to wait until the fenders get mounted, as I suspect it's quite possible that the hood could shift a little bit on me. Removed the factory battery mount, temporarily installed the new Rokmen one, and have the other fender sitting in place. Lots of massaging needed to the hood yet..
Man o man.... that silver Teejay would look so sick with black wheels!!!! Yeah yeah... gamblers.
Honestly not sure how I feel about black wheels. Yeah yeah gamblers is right!

Thanks bud! I can't either, I'd really like to take this thing around the block, we'll that's only kinda true, still evidence of salt on the road. Well, great question...you didn't miss it. I am not sure. The top will probably be another smittybilt replacement top - for $200 bucks I feel you can't go wrong. Sliders, probably going to go with the smittybilt look a likes on eBay for $132 shipped, but I plan to make my own slider/step - something unique.

Thank you! Eh, as Dale Carnegie would say, what's the worst that could happen? I got over my fear of cutting up perfectly sheet metal years ago, but its the getting it strait or even and not looking all hilljack that makes me quiver.
No new news on silver. No word from welder. Did start prepping the rear t section of that rock hard cage to tap out all the threads while the top is off. Tomorrow night I have like 4 craigslisters coming to look at the flipper...wish me luck not to get shot!
Another no fender weld day. I stayed home with my son today who woke up with a 102.6 fever, and really we had a very enjoyable day! As far as the Jeep went though, obviously pretty lame if I have to post these pictures:
Tapped out all the holes on the rock hard t section. Excuse the mess - you know how it goes...
And all buttoned up, sound bar back in place. At some point I need to change out the speakers in this bad boy too!
At this point, without any other parts, I don't think I can do anything to the Jeep - Im just waiting on the fenders.
