Independence JKU Build

Hey there,
I thought I would start a build thread for my new Jeep since my 97TJ that had me join this forum back in 2006.

I had searched for about a year or so to find the JKU for my build. I had a few requirements. It had to be manual, hydro blue, a sport (or sport base), low-ish miles, 2012 or newer.

So I managed to score a 2014 Oscar Mike Freedom Edition for a steal at a GMC dealership. I don't think they realized what they had. It only had 17k miles on it. So I got some added features with the Freedom Edition but still the sport model.

Main components of the build will be...

Borla Climber Exhaust
Offroad Heros Soft Top
Ultimate Dana 60's with 4.88 gears
4 1/2 Inch Metal Cloak Gamechanger lift
Fox 2.0 Reservoir Shocks
17" Method Race Wheels
37x12.50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
Adams Extreme Duty Driveshafts
Crawler Conceptz Bumpers, Rocker, Tire Carrier
Warn Zeon 10-s Winch
RK Sport Hood
Vison-X Headlights
ARB Dual Air Compressor
Spod
Springtail Tailgate Rack
Diabolical Inc Trunk Security Enclosure
Tuffy Security Console and Under Seat
New Sound System (Amp, Speakers, Sub)
Muffler Skid
Oil pan, trany skid
Metal Cloak Evap relocation bracket
Viair 2 gallon tank

and a bunch of other stuff I'm sure.

Thanks, Matt

Offroad Heros Multitop Installed. This is the fastback setup. I was a little skeptical before ordering as its not a more popular softtop used. I also try to be American and its Canadian. Close enough I guess. But man this thing is impressive. The frame is almost non existent when the top is down and the material is as good if not better than the top of the line ones. One difference to most tops is it has a channel in the middle to split the top. The front rolls up and the back can be removed or rolled back.

Also time to take off those decals and badgeing . Not really a fan of them at all.
Plus I'll be designing my own new ones when completed.

VisionX LED Halo Headlights. I have them wired to the front hazard lights. Then I used a flashpaq to set the hazards as DRL so the Halo's are also. IMHO these are well worth the $$$.

This is exactly the type of cargo rack I wanted to pair with the cargo top option of the soft-top. I had to purchase it from Italy and pay way more than I should have but I couldn't find any other options. I wanted something that spanned the entire width of the jeep and sat flush. Everything I found was in between the rollbars and sit how I wanted. This thing is solid.

SPOD being installed. I went with the 8 switch option just to be on the safe side. I just don't want to run out.

Got the Springtail installed. I added a piece of 1/4" hard plastic to the shelf.
