It's been a while since I've been on here, you've been busy. Hood looks good painted. I thought of doing the CJ gate, as the big Jeep logo is sweet, but went with the SWAG tailgate kit instead, for a couple of reasons. First I had the TJ gate, second I could still seal the rear window and third I have the tire carrier there anyway, so you couldn't see the tailgate anyway. Good luck with the CJ gate though and I'll be watching to see how it works for you.

Sounds like a lot more work than I need. My current business plan has me tired already.

Thanks. Visually, it was a big change when I could step back and look at it.

It has been a while, but not all of us are cutting up axles.... Thanks. I always liked sitting on my old CJ and FSJ fold down tailgates (even if it took a run and jump for the FSJ). When I knew I was going to have to drop the gas tank, I looked in my parts closet and found I had all the parts for the most of the coversion: gate I bought for $40, brand new hinges and cables I bought for the CJ.... I figure why not. I got the gate professional painted and made the stamp. I like the swag kit a lot but an not a fan of logos unless they say JEEP I still need to make or find something for attachment points on the inside of the tub and as for a way to close it with the hardtop, I has a few months to figure that out I think.
Edit: and a buddy has been wanting my stock tailgate for a while. It always motivate me when I have parts sold before I remove them.
