I'm running a 12.5 wide tire on a 7" wheel right now. No issue.

I suppose the minimum width that manufactors recommend is to avoid lawsuits *if* anything happens.

The only issue I have with 17's is that 35" MTR's are seriously $100 more for a 17" wheel than a 15".

That's good to hear, cause I bet 35's will look badass on those wheels on his jeep!

I wish. Had the freeze plug in the back of the motor go bad and spew coolant all over the highway. So my money saved went to getting the head tested and resurfaced to make sure it wasn't warped after the overheating issue.

Should be a few more months.

Sorry to hear that. Glad to hear you didn't suffer major engine damage.

It happens. Life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. Could have been a lot worse but thankful it was minor.

What are your plans for rear flares? Going with full corners or something of that effect?

I'm all stock right now except for running Rubi flares. I may have scored a set of Rubi wheels BTW, so I may be copying you, well, wheels wise at least, except I'll go 33's. It won't be for a while though. I think smooth armor would look good and clean. I assume Texas doesn't have restrictions on tire coverage?

No here in Texas they are pretty cool and there are no fender restrictions that I know of. I could always ask my father in law for sure. (detective haha)
