Have you guys put any thought into the ECM? I am almost done with my swap, but have hit a wall in the computer department. I literally have everything else installed and ready to go (at least i think so, without it running i wont know on clutch or cooling system).
Anyways let me know if you have installation questions.

I skipped that headache and bought a manual computer, but I'm sure it can be done with an auto.

Well I finally got my old 4.2 pulled out. I pulled the tranny along with it for the ease of installing the new V8 and marring the tranny up to it.

Heres some quick pics of the the process.

My Dog loves to ride in the jeep and saw the opportunity to jump in. lol He rocks!

The V8 and I6 side by side. Its crazy to see the size difference.

I think the next few days are going to be spent cleaning up the garage and jeep. Going to get organized and clean up the engine bay. Possibly wash the jeep also (it still has mud on it from the trail lol).

Thanks for al the advise and keeping updated!

Lookin good bro. Wow you aint wasting no time. All I have done with mine is look at it and make vroom vroom sounds. Have you got a bellhousing yet I've found a few on carparts.com but no one has got back to me yet on shipping quotes? What are you doing for motor mounts? most kits seem unreasonably over priced. Good luck man it seems you are leaving me in the dust, cant wait to see it move under its "moparower"! Hey that just gave me an idea for a personalized license plate.

I'm crawling this one too. I'll be starting my 5.7/350 install soon.

Treat every situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it pee on it and walk away.

I had more luck calling the parts yards, they typically aren't up on technology. Advanced Adapters engine mounts are what I used.

Thanks man! I haven't found a bell housing just yet, I was looking on car part.com also but I do know of a dakota that has one in it, so hopefully that pans out. As far as motor mounts I'v been eyeing the novak ones but as you said kinda spendy ($225ish).
My build will now be on pause as Iv run outa funds but ill continue to grind off the old mounts and clean it up so you'll have time to catch up! I also have to figure my fuel situation out also...
