Well I got the Winch all mounted up and secured and started the wiring yesterday... Thought I got it all worked out and went to start my jeep and nothing. No power to the jeep whatsoever. Tried to even jump start it and it wouldn't turn over. So I Brought out the battery charger and charged it over night. When i went to start it this morning... same thing.. nothing, no power at all. So i ripped the old battery out and put it this one.

So once I got the new one hooked up and go to start it, All my lights work and it turns over but wont fire. Now this is without the winch hooked up at all, just the normal connections. I noticed when I turn the key to "on" the fuel pump doesn't turn on and no pressure at the fuel rail. So im thinking some sort of wiring issue or a blown fuse. I went over every possible fuse I could find and all of them are still good... Not sure where to turn now!!

Over the last few days I went and picked up a crank shaft position sensor trying to fix my no start issue. One of the most inaccessible places on the damn jeep! Up on top of the transmission and behind the engine. And to top it off.... Rusted bolts. Aaarrrgggghhhh!!! My worst enemy!

I tried everything I could possibly think of to get the upper bolt off. Two cans of PB blaster, torque wrenches, special extractors, drill outs and drill bits, hammers, pry bars, propane torches and tons of hard working elbow grease to no avail....

So I got out my trusty dremel tool and cut that ****** out!!!

So I got the Sensor in and still nothing. I ended up pulling my PCM and brought it down to the parts store. They sent it out for a refurb and it took almost 2 weeks for it to come back. They called me the other day and I went right down there and picked it up.. Look how shiny it is!! so I plugged it in and wired everything back up and.... it started right up!!!!!

Once I knew it was working, I used a tree in my yard and unspooled my new 10000lb Superwinch and rewound it up. Then took her out for a little spin around town to make sure things were working good. Then I called up a buddy of mine and we went and got muddy! haha

Went out for a little trail ride the other day.. Hiked up to the top of Little Mt. Washington for a nice little view! Beautiful day to be in the woods!

Well had some issues arise the other day... My front pinion bearing pretty much exploded. I limped it back to the house and now have to wait a few days before I can tear into...again! My thought is that we didn't set the crush sleeve correctly last time we had it apart.

Well still no recent work done to the jeep. Right now it's sitting on jack stands with front wheels and axles out and diff is out. I'm replacing both inner & outer bearings/sleeves/shims for the pinion. Luckily it seems everything else is ok. None of the teeth are chipped so that's a good thing.

So over the summer I picked up a few new snowmobiles. I got a 1998 arctic cat ZR600 and a 2000 arctic cat zr500, both in great shape. So tinkering on them is a priority for winter fun!
