Roger that. I was thinking you were planning to come down for our house warming party. Not sure the date yet, but we're definitely thinking mid/late August.

ordered one of the last big pieces for the front 3 link. Currie TJJ trac bar from savvy with JF2013 discount. I debated between the MC and currie trac bars, but couldnt get past the heim in the MC unit.

track-bar.jpg

still have some minor things to acquire,,, YJ brake lines, OEM or barnett diff cover

Did a little messing around with the new upper link mount. Opinions on location and or strength of placing this link mount on top of the poly 3 link mount. Towards the front of the mount or rearward, maybe directly over the lower?

Plan would be to weld it to the top of the 3 link mount, to the vertical where the two meet and probably come backward off the inside edge to the back edge of the link mount with 3/16" or 1/4" plate. Maybe a dimple die hole or three.

Vs mounting the duroflex joints 90 degrees to each other as the poly link mount would have me do. Which as already stated isn't ideal for a duroflex joint.

yup, skiing/snowboarding on the east coast sucks in compared to the rockies. I try to get out to real mountains every other year if possible.

The wreck was funny, i'm glad the camera flipped around and caught me sliding to a stop. i'm a proficent snowboarder, but still fall from time to time when i get tired. I think most everyone fell at least once, sometimes the camera was on

Jeep related stuff...

I rotated the tires last night when the sun was going down. It was starting to get dark when I was finishing and I was in a rush, so I drove away for a test drive with the wheel lock still on the lug nut... DOHH!! I retraced my path 3 times (once on foot) and no luck... guess I'll be ordering my second replacement key. Ill look again today when i get home.

MTRs are starting to get louder than I would like. hopefully the rotation helps.

That's not good! Went outside to walk the dog and found this...

image-2912765757.jpg

Picked up all the parts I could think of to replace the water pump if necessary.

Have a new water pump, gasket, belt, thermostat, and antifreeze for the ride home. Hopefully it holds out for the 8 hour drive.

Made it home on a bad water pump.

image-3921821109.jpg

I'm glad I get to change the water pump on my terms and not in a parking lot somewhere.

Treated the ol' girl to a new water pump, thermostat, and belt today.

Glad I didn't need to use the loaner tool set for the fan from advanced auto. The 4 piece set only had 3 pieces in it. Guess which piece I needed. Glad I was able to use a pipe wrench instead.

Hardest part about the whole process was scrapping the old gaskets off, and that's not an exaggeration.

So far everything is looking good. Temperature is holding level and no leaks.

new water pump still going strong...

also trying to pin down a weekend to get to the front axle swap and 3 link. Hopefully before main jambo at Gore in September (13-15th??).

in other news. I just ordered poly rear coilover buckets for the eventual outboarding, also picked up extended sway bar links for the rear.... got a good price off the classifieds here on JF (thanks to Rusty ) Ill get to it one day, but for the price, it couldnt pass them up. Planning on a set of Fox remote res and 4" currie coils when i can afford another round of changes.
