Highline complete

I just finished up the highline last night.. I like the way it came out.. i still need to lower it now..
The top of the fenders are 48 inches from the ground..
Also need to find a place for the windshield washer fluid res..
I will have more pics tomorrow...

Its a 4 inch short arm on it now with 2 inch coil spacers.. ( was a mistake) and 35's

Heck you could get rid of the 4 inch and keep the spacer. Low center of gravity baby

Looks well done. More pics from more angles would be great. You could run no lift with plenty of room. I say go with some 2 or 2.5" springs and rock it. What about a tummy tuck? You'll be dropping it so you may want to lose the shovel.

What did you use to cut the hood?

I was thinking of being cheap 4WD sells a 2inch for under 400 its just shocks and springs.. I think the RC control arms i have will work they were off the 4 in lift i have.. I will try to do something for the skid plate.. i read for alot of them you need to raise the engine mounts and it kicks it all off at an angle but im a little scared of that cause there is minimal space under the hood....

I used a sawzall
It saws ALL

You're just misinformed. Learn what's actually happening and what has to (or doesn't have to) be done. And the RC 2.5 is under 300 with real shocks and springs. Good ones at that. Your current RC control arms are crap, assuming you have the fixed arms with bushings on both ends. Go with some quality short arms or make your own with some nice joints.

depends on who you ask, but id say build your own and go with a medium length arm or get currie or clayton long arms

If you want to make your own, I'd start researching link geometry if you're not already familiar with it. I'd go with Currie Johnny Joints on some .25" wall DOM tubing for the lowers and .175" wall for the uppers. That's generally a good starting point. While you're at it, you might as well cut off the factory lower mounts and go with something a bit higher clearance. Check out Poly Performance while you're at it.

And in terms of the RC arms--they might be stronger than stock but they flex much worse than stock due to them being solid. All that does is limit you and put a TON of force on your control arm mounts.

nice. Did you cut the tub or just raise the flares?

I had thought about raising the flares in the back and doing something like metalcloaks in the front. I wasnt sure if the rear tire arch under the flare was cut up higher or not. Rite now on 33's I rub the rear fenders alot when flexing but maybee with this I can cure that and gain some travel.
