Having problems putting it in Reverse

I have a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo - going into my 2nd winter. Haven't driven it for about a month, when I went to put it in drive and/or reverse it felt like it was stuck. Let it warm up for about 15 minutes it was fine. Now when I park it overnight, in the morning when I put it in drive it's fine, when I put in Reverse, it goes ok really slow but about 20 feet it "sticks/stops", go forward goes away, back in reverse it does the same thing. What do I need to do? How much is it going to cost? Thanks
