I picked that one up at Northern. I was skeptical, but they had a display set up so you could see how bright they are. It's no off road light, but for a reverse light, or winching light it can't be beat.

Now I feel better about a 72 watt 12" LED light bar I saw on Amazon. May give it a try.

I ordered the 3" ones. I contacted MCE at the end of last week because I hadn't heard anything from them and he told me they had some CNC problems, so they would ship day before yesterday. I'm just patently waiting... cause I still haven't heard anything back.

I'm really looking forward to putting them on getting rid of the tire rub issue I have up front.

Got any pics of yours?

Heres two different angles of the flares . The guys at MCE were really nice to deal with , hopefully you will get your flares here soon .

Nice!

Well... dangit. I just realized that once I take off the flare extensions, I'm going to have 3 or 4 holes that won't be covered by anything.

I have rocker protection covered, so I don't want to dump a bunch of money in nice sliders just to cover holes. I was thinking about those plastic diamond plate fakes... ugh.

That or some rubicon take-offs. Although those are hard to come by. Do they cover that extension area?

I got an email from Jim at MCE. Good news! My fenders ship tomorrow.

I was gooding around in the garage tonight and discovered that the stock padded speaker bar fits the new cage perfectly. I don't want to drill through the new cage, so I used some thin padding between the metal pockets on the bar and the cage tubing to create a non slip non scratch interface. I secured it around the cage with the cloth velcroed wings (just like stock) to keep it down... and two mini rubber toggle ties to keep it forward against the crossbar. It has a very factory look, is very quickly unplugged and removed if needed, and now I have my overhead speakers back.

No doubt! I was all good with it before they were shipped. Now that it's "go" time I'm a little nervous.

Going to buy jigsaw and sawzall blades tomorrow.

Workday in progress.

Flares are off. Had some seized up nutserts
Fenders ready to cut.
New sub installed (and it sounds great)

Pics to follow..

I had to go pick up a new angle grinder last night. Milwaukee! I love it. Speedy cut wheels are going to make quick work of the fenders.

Argh! All geared up for this fender job. Fedex tracking said my fenders are on the truck and out for delivery. I just saw on the tracking page that the driver did not deliver Due to weather. WHAT? It dusted snow this morning for 15 minutes. Roads were dry 15 minutes later...

Somebody just wanted to go home early. Now it will be Tuesday sadly.

Finally... The fenders arrived, the weather was 63 degrees and sunny, and I had a free evening.

The fender install went pretty easily. It's a lot easier to understand when you have parts in your hands than when you are reading instructions on line trying to figure things out.

Everything went on as it should, but in the end my hood latches aren't perfectly lined up with the clasp on the hood. And if I slid the fender forward to line them up, the front edge of the fender at the grill wasn't to my liking. So I compromised and went about halfway. I love the way they look and I'm glad I went with the 3" flare.

On the to do list now is getting the holes cut for the JK signal buckets (I already have those) and running the wires into the grille.

I also have those 3 pesky holes on each side where the flare extension was. I'm looking for some cheap metal (or even plastic) rocker guards (ie. Rubicon) for asthetics. Here are a few pictures. I was losing light so I will get more on the next sunny day.

Dang! These make the 35's look sort of small.

Cool! Those look pretty sweet, especially with the flare.

Very nice ! I had the same issue with the hood latches , I think my grill isnt perfectly square if that makes sense . I split the difference , and no one has ever noticed.

I wouldn't cover that rust with rocker guards, that's going to make it way worse way faster. I would first cut out and weld in new metal then throw some rockers on there.

Fenders look great BTW!

Yeah... stepping back I don't notice it really either.

Rust?! How dare you

Really though... there is no rust there on either side. There is a clear piece of tape covering a hole with mud on the back of it, and 3 nutserts. It does look a little like rust in the pic. I'll have to take a better one. Also the goob dealer I bought it from painted the flares without masking very good... so the re is some overspray from that too.
