Nothing extreme here, keep moving. Just another boring LJ build. It's my 5th Jeep, so hopefully after several iterations, I'll get it right this time.
I picked up the Jeep in January 2013. 127k miles on it, so I've got some maintenance issues to deal with before the fun stuff.
2005 LJ Rubicon - 6spd
New OPDA with stripperguy kit
Ken White's version of the Rubicon Locker bypass with some trick 12voltguy switches, his stuff rocks: http://www.12voltguy.com/home.php
All four new O2 sensors, the good NTK ones of course
Picked up some Safari Straps off Craigslist for the dowgie
2" hybrid BB consisting of JK shocks, spacers, bumpstops, yadda yadda yadda - Decided against this after scoring a used 3" BDS kit
Install my super Craigslist find of the year - 33" KM2's on the stock Moabs with the help of some BORA wheel spacers, these guys rock as well: http://www.motorsport-tech.com/bora.html
Put a transmission in it that works(reverse is kaput) - Done! With a donor trans from Gerald at Savvy.
Oreilly's AGM Battery
Iron Rock Offroad front adjustable control arms
New Multifunction switch
Current Action Items:
Change all fluids.... blah
Future List: (in no particular order)
Give her a name
1"ish Body Lift
As you can see this is gonna be a "low-budget" build for now. I'm sure it'll morph into fitting 35's with some fenders on down the road. For now, I'm gonna wheel what I brung, and have some fun.
Here is what she looked like when I found her here on the forum.
I promptly sold the hardtop and installed a chrome grill so that I make it home on time, every time. I know, I know, chrome grills are my thang. STFU
