got my first jeep finally
just picked up a 93 yesterday and figured i'd get on here and say whats up. been trying to figure out why the thing isnt running right. its a 2.5L and the guy I got it from said he ran it out of gas and it probably sucked stuff into the fuel rail and he said to pull the injectors out and blow some air or something. i just got done putting spark plugs and wires on and put some 93 octane gas in hoping that would help. still running rough though i guess i could try what he was telling me to do but I dont know... I was hoping to get some advise from the jeep guru's on here. o ya and i'm gonna start using the search button after I type this. also if anybody reads this and has a soft top in good shape let me know. heres a pic

I'd like to get it running right before I worry about the suspension. I'm putting a new distributor cap and rotor on after work and see if that helps then I'll try seafoam and fuel filter I guess. Is running those shackles going to cause any issues other then looking stupid

I believe (dont quote me on this) the only things the shackles will change is flex and stability while driving.

It will also change the ride of the jeep, its pretty dangerous also. If you hit a big bump the springs can actually fold up, then you will have to buy new ones.
Yes i agree with you, get the jeep running first, but make sure you get the rest taken care of soon.

ok so I put the distributor cap and rotor in and its still running like crap. It seems like it only does it half throttle and below... if i give it more than half throttle if sounds like it smooths out and revs fine. its suppose to rain tomorrow so i will be putting the fuel filter and doin the seafoam thing tuesday. I'll put up a pic of what I have been working on and what i'm used to...
