Side note: I can't wait for the Cliffs to freeze over so I can head out there and play in the snow and ice... the only 3 months out of the year for "dry" trail conditions while the ground is frozen. The other 9 months are nothing but mud, slop, and carnage.
i hear you thats all i found, water was deep too. That was only my second time to the cliffs. But i had a blast and got my buddies sitting in water

Suspension wise, i think im putting stock uppers back under it. Id like to go custom before i spend money on aftermarket.

Starter is also junk

If you go let me know

Some more big updates I bought a car trailer and my favorite tire. Super swamped Iroks in 36x 12.5 flavor. I am going to pick them up tomorrow!

Front axle? I'm chromo right now with alloy joints. I would like to do a waggy 44 but I find my self wanting a hp. I've never really had a problem with my lp30 until I get into rocks and it trashes the driveshaft. So maybe a ford hp 44 in on the next list

That's awesome. Post some pictures up of those tires when you get them.

The car trailer will be handy...good for you man!

13.5 my bad. Well the car trailer is rusty and rough with bent mobile home axles but for the price I can't go wrong!

Thanks, will do!

Well I sold my axles to my dad, so I am on the hunt for new axles.

Front will be a hp44 probably out of a f250 with 1/2" walls cut down on the long side to run rubicon inners.
I'm torn on the rear Dana 60 ff cut down or a 14 blt srw with Dually hubs to bring it down to 63 wms But I cannot see myself on 36s with a 14 bolt. Time will tell. I need help deciding!

I wouldn't even consider a 14b paired with a D44 front. It would be a waste of weight and clearance IMO just because the D44 is going to be limiting your tire size to where a smaller, lighter axle would hold up just fine.

Right, but this would take a step out of tons in the future. A shaved 14 blt has almost as much as a 44. 14blt is cheap, beef, and every where. I am not dead set on it, just weighing options.

I hear ya, but do some research on the D44. That was what I thought I wanted to swap into mine but it's actually financially smarter to go to a 1 ton front axle from the get go if that's what you are considering. At least that's what I've found. I found a good deal and will have significantly less in my front D60 than I had planned for my F-250 HP44 build and it will be much stronger too. Just something to think about as you shop for axles

Yea I've done some research, the 44 ain't much better than a d30. The Honda passport 44
would be a good pair with a hp44, disk brakes from the factory and nice width for a jeep

Yesterday I drove 2 hours to pick some axles up. 79 ford hp44 and 9 inch with 5.13s and mini spool in the rear and full in the front for too good of a deal to pass up! The plan is to truss the front and get by the stupid radius wedges and link it. The rear is undecided for suspension but I'd like to disk brake it and shave it.

Got some progress today and tore them all apart!
