That's the old bearing... somebody told me it could have been caused by the rear diff dropping off a ledge and landing on the pinion, sideloading the outter pinion bearing.

Anyways I got the new one and unfortunately I need some shims to add as it is too tight still(but smoother now).

I need shims that are 1.25" ID, 1.625" OD, as many as possible in varying thicknesses so if anyone knows where I can get those that would be awesome.

It's coming from NC so hopefully I'll have them before Thursday so I can make the Jeep right before I go to Disney World

You do need links for a eliptic rear.

There's several guys I wheel with that have them in the rear. Some with leaf's up front or air shocks up front. The are on YJ's and CJ's though, a little of the classic look with a more modern touch.

If you saw a recent (mid to later summer) JP magazine, the Kentucky Longrifle guy and the white TJ in that same month, both of them are in my club.

Probably not, need to clean up the garage badly, I'm hoping to get the shims I need before Wednesday.

As soon as I get back I think I'm going to get cracking on building a front driveshaft. I think I may measure and cut up my stock TJ front shaft for a longer slip and need to get a 1310 to 1350 conversion joint for the front axle. It's still 1310 at the t-case so I'll probably just remove the CV assembly from the front shaft and attach a plain 1310 u-joint.

Hell if I really want to get ghetto I may just cut the shaft up and do a square driveshaft like I was originally thinking.

Haha on Pirate 4x4 it's named "Project Get That Heep Done Before the Wedding!" but it didn't exactly live up to it's name

The joke name that it had for a while was "Jeeperdoodles" but I never called it that seriously.

Some time when I get around to it I want to get a custom plate since they're so cheap in Virginia, BGFNJP is available, so is 1TONTJ. We'll see.
