Thanks... yeah it will be a little while before I can get "real" flex shots since the front shocks are much too short... after the wedding my top priorities will be the front shocks being replaced, front driveshaft made, buy some t-case shifters, and if it isn't done before - a traction bar for the rear.

No pics tonight because it wasn't real exciting, but I mocked up my clearance/side markers for the front end to be street legal in VA. Won't need flares to drive on the street

I need to fully wire them up, but tomorrow I'm picking up some JK turn signals from the dealer to mount in the grill, once those are in then I can more accurately wire the side markers and tuck the entire harness away from my front tires.

List of what needs done before I can drive it to the exhaust shop:

- clearance lights wired and fully mounted
- buy and install front brake calipers/pads/brake lines
- install my HD output in the t-case
- install t-case brake and driveshaft(haven't gotten yet)
- mount and install rear shocks(ordered today... should have by end of the week)
- weld the spring perches on once driveshaft angle is set

I'm sure there is something else that needs done but those are the things off the top of my head.

Yeah, I'm going to shoot for a weekend trip in September or October. Gotta get t-case shifters after the weddng and for the time being I think I'll buy a 1310 pinion yoke for my D60 front so I can just take my stock front driveshaft to a local shop to get lengthened/shortened to make 4wd usable.

Been working on getting my clearance lights set up so I can legally have 14" of tire sticking out of the tub. This is where they'll be mounted, but with the + wire resting on the battery terminal to see what it'll look like. I'm picking up a hole saw tomorrow so I can mount the JK signals and cut the wires to length so I can wire these clearance lights into the stock side marker wiring. The new clearance lights are grounded by the screws that mount them so I only have to run 1 wire.

I mounted the rear red clearance lights above the tires but don't have any pics of it from tonight yet. I also got my 13" travel BBCS shocks from Poly Performance today

Yesterday JF member 2006sport came down from Maryland to see some family and stopped by. If you're not familiar with his Jeep it's stock height on 30" tires w/ soft 8s. Here's a comparson of my Jeep to it:

I was pleased to find out I netted 4.5" of suspension lift overall. Then the 1.25" BL on top of it for other reasons so I suppose my Jeep is reasonably low.

Also tonight I started building one of the shock brackets for the rear, gotta do the other one tomorrow and then I'm going to get the stupid signals mounted. I need to really get them in place before running wires for the clearance lights because the wire harness is awkward to move where I need it when I don't know exactly where stuff will end up.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

More pics:

JK turn signals. Used a 3-1/4" hole saw and they are a nice tight press fit.

Parking lights on.

Caught a pic of the turn signal on:

Here's a closer pic of the stupid clearance lights needed in VA. Kinda ugly but better than big dumb flares:

Wiring, I tried keeping it pretty clean w/ the wire loom and all that to at least look factory:

Also got the other axle shock mounts ready to install on the axle:

Sweet use of washers to space the piece out for the shock to fit in perfectly.

That's the same thing I did with mine. The jeep is looking like you're about done. It sucks that you gotta run those goofy *** lights on the side, but like you said it sure beats running flares. Keep up the good work man.
