Got the internal bracing done to handle the force of the winch:

Here are the internal plates with the winch installed:

Also got my 7/8" Ruff Stuff heims today

Also the guy with the big trailer can't make it... so I may just be driving my Jeep to KY and back

Dang son. Just finished reading the entire thread. Amazing build and I have learned a lot from it. It is now one of my favorite builds. Good luck on what ever else you do.

The cable that came with that winch was in really good condition so I'll run it for now. I think it is 125' of 3/8" steel cable. When it gets worn I will make a decision whether it gets replaced with another $75 steel cable or a $300 piece of synthetic. That price is hard to get over, how much money I have at the time will dictate what goes on my Jeep.

Thanks dude, I noticed your name browsing my thread the last few days when I looked at it... been busy huh?

This thread is out of control. I have considered making a "Table of Contents" in my first post that essentially sums up each page... but that will take a LOT of time

Also, I WILL be driving the Jeep under it's own power to go wheeling this weekend... I found a route that is all backroads that should be about 2.5 hours... not too terrible. Hoping to get really awesome pictures, Imped is coming along and word on the street is he's bringing a professional photographer

I'v been wanting to do something like that too but then realize I'm too lazy. I'd have to be really bored and it would take a lot of time

You have about 5x as many pages as my build so good luck

Let me know when you are thinking Harlan. We'll be doing our annual trip out there summer time'ish next year. Would be fun to wheel together.

Looks great Tony! Wish I could've helped more. I guess we spent a bit too much time talking to Andrew.
