No problem man! Ya know, I've still got the template, 3 more t-case spacers, and hole saw... if you can spend $12 on some lights you can get taken care of as well We still on for some time this coming weekend? PM me!
I've got a license plate light I'm going to be installing today some time, it's a tube sort of LED style, bolts right under the license plate bolts. I just gotta paint it black, not really wanting chrome ricer bling on my Jeep It's from the ricer aisle at Auto Zone and was like $15 in store.
Couldn't find any license plate lights non-LED style that either weren't absolutely retarded looking or fit where I need them to. Most stick out like 2" which is insane.

Great build... I've really gotta get a thread going for mine.
My 3" Black Diamond lift is going in next weekend, and I'm debating upping the tires to 33s from 31s... still not sure, as the 31" BFGs are literally 5 months old.
Anyways, I'll definitely keep reading!
cheers

Ex-nay on the 35s-eh...
Got a Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear today. Yay tax refund!
Both w/ 5.38s, detroit lockers, rear has 4340 chromo shafts, front has 4340 chromo outters. Set up for links and all, I plan on a 4-link and coils rear w/ leafs up front until I can afford coilovers and a 3-link if I decide I don't like the leafs.
Goal is to be done by early July. My wedding got moved up for some cost reasons, so it will be dubbed "Project wedding limo."

Since the front is already setup for links, why not just link it and run coils? If you by a 20' stick of 2x2x.250 wall tubing, you have enough to do all the links. I think i payed 150 for the tubing.

I honestly can't tell you, but do some searching because I do know that the Dodge D60s are less desirable than any others more-or-less. Weird hubs on certain years, etc. Look at the D60 bible on Pirate 4x4.

Yeah they have, they were under the previous owners buggy.

We'll see, I want to get everything mocked up in place first. I don't necessarily want to link the front without coilovers(big $$). Plus leaf springs are simple, cheap, and straight-forward. Also I can get away w/ no track-bar(no bump-steer) I DO plan on eventually 3-linking the front.

Good eye, I plan on selling my NP231 w/ SYE and getting a Dana 300 t-case and stuff it with 4:1 gears. Possibly try to find another 231 and build a doubler(use the planetary gears and housing from the 231 in front of the 300, so I'd have 2.7:1, 4:1, and 10.8:1.
Only downside I see is that the front is low-pinion, however in the WAAAAAAY future, I plan on building a high-pinion 609(Dana 60 inner knuckles and further out, Hi-9 center section). That will happen when I feel like spending $4-5k for the front axle only, haha.

No pics but it's nothing too terribly exciting yet. I cleaned out my dad's garage to make room for the start of this swap.
Have it on jackstands sitting at the height I want the body/frame to be at.
Here are some specs:
-Front bumper height: 24.5" / 27.5"
-Rear bumper height: 22.0" / 25.5"
-Frame belly height: 19.5" / 22.75" (NOT at the stock skidplate, at the frame rails)
-Rocker height: 23.5" / 26.5"
-Width from the outside of the tires: 68.5" / ?
-Front diff clearance(D30): 10.5" / ?
-Rear diff clearance(D44): 9.5" / ?
Specs in black are what is at right now w/ the 3" FT lift and 33x10.50 Swamper TSL Radials. Specs in red are what I want to be at w/ 40" tires.
In a nutshell, it will be the equivalent of a 1" suspension lift on 40" tires. It'll sit about the same height as most Jeeps on 35s/36s.
I want to keep it fairly low COG, the max height that the bumpers can be is 29" in front and 30" in rear for me to stay legal driving it on the road in VA.
I'm expecting the overall width to be in the 80-82" area, depending on what wheels I decide on. Diff clearance will be what it is obviously. May shave the D70 a bit.
As soon as I find a serious buyer for my D30 and D44 I will really get a move on and start cutting stuff up
I also need to buy a freaking camera, mine seems to have gone missing

Are you meaning it will be the height of a stock jeep with 1" lift? or are you going to be 1" higher than now and 40's?
only 1" of lift from stock and 40's I would think to be real tight, even with flat highlined fenders and a comp cut. From the red numbers it seems like you're
keeping approximately the same height suspension and the bigger tires added in, is that right?
Should be a pretty sweet build tho, can't wait to see it
