thanks guys! I did all the body work and I primed it myself then I took it to a local painter who sprayed the base and clear for $300. the paint, clear, primer, sealer, wax & grease remover, sandpaper, and sanding blocks came to about $500. People don't believe me when I say it cost under $1000 which makes me feel awesome. lol

well i broke my ankle last week and had surgery yesterday so i decided to update this thread! haha since the last update i replaced both front brake calipers, ball joints, wheel bearings, and the ujoint in the rear driveshaft. Noticethe weld on the yoke in the pic. that's because the tab wore out when the ujoint was going bad. I also switched from the hard top to the soft top.

I just ordered some paracord to make grab handles to keep me busy. I also ordered some parts to make a hand throttle.

In other news the cobra has been running awesome! and I picked up an '86 c10 in great shape from the original owners with only 38,000 miles on it for $1500 so i just did some minor work to the engine to get it running strong again. Once I'm done with making the exhaust i'll sell it and should be able to make a couple grand on it

Why the brake handle? Doesn't it retract back add soon as you let go?

yeah it does I used to ride stand up jet skis with a finger throttle so it's a natural feel to control the throttle that way. I don't see the need in it holding any rpm anyway
