First time Wrangler Owner

We owned a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition, then we bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition (Which we still have) and now we bought a 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Only has 30,700 miles on it!!! It's so cool!! And its PAID FOR!!! We saved for a long time for this toy!

Nice jeep...and dogs. 30K on a 98?! it must have been a garage queen. That's awesome though.

What are your plans for it?

It was owned by an older couple, who sold it to a couple who kept it in the garage every winter. They then sold it to their dad, who just used it for normal driving, but only put 10k miles on it in 4 years. It's been very well taken care of. He even went and had all the fittings greased just recently, I have the recipts for everything ever done to it, it's in unbelievable shape.

We aren't sure what we want to do to it yet. I know I want to upgrade the sound system, get either a grille guard, or new bumpers, not sure yet. We also have to get wider fender flares becuase the tires stick out just sligthly past them and that tosses mud everywhere!

We got both a Hard top and a soft top with it.

Oh and I also want to figure out a good way to secure the dogs in the back seat when the top is down. Never can be to careful. Huskies are so easily distracted!

You can also try getting a set of used Rubicon flares which are 1" wider then the regular wrangler flares. That may help with the mud issue.

The dogs really do love the Jeep. We tool them out Geocaching today, and they were so excited to jump into the Jeep. We have a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee and they didn't even try to get into that one. They stood outside the Wrangler like "Lets GO GO!" It was so funny!

We are thinking of buying the wider flares for the Jeep. We don't want the mud to scuff it up to much!

If you are worried about mud and stuff and want wider flares look into bushwhackers. Alot of people dont like them for there price and if you break one when getting into some heavy wheeling its a good bit of coin to replace, but they sound perfect for what you want. They look SWEET too imo. Get some new rims too.

Yeah we have already looked at rims. The ones on it are Chrome and they are in rough shape. I am thinking of getting steel wheels. Not sure though.

Not sure if you are into black or silver, but Cragar Soft 8's or D-Windows are like what everyone is getting. You can also get Moabs, or Gamblers...or like so many others but these are what come to mind and look really good. The Moabs are 16" I believe so you'd need to make sure it works with your tires.

Soft 8's

Moabs

Gamblers

And here are those bushwhackers
