got started on the ramp today.. im doin angle runners up the middle like trailer ramps, one because it cheaper and exp. metal, i think it will be more grip goin up..i also made it 22 inches wide for double jeeps at car shows and wider tires...
its not done by no means, will have it done by fri evening sometime.

Chris,

What kind of driveline issues were you experiencing out of curiousity? Just vibes, noise, or both? I have a vibe that I have been chasing forever and I have a tom woods rear CV shaft and a brand new custom CV shaft from Tatton driveline. Pinion angles are reading perfect and pinion yokes and T-Case yokes tight so I was just curious what your symptoms were? Thanks man and the jeep looks great!

well, wasnt really a vibe or noise, lil squeak every now and then. but its was a bumping coming up from underneath, faster you go, faster it went... i tore the transfer case apart thinking it was the sye that was just put in at the same time, or if it was a bearing went bad.. tore the rearend cover off and checked there to... took the rear shaft out and run it in front fwd and no noise put it back in and had noise.. checked the droop in the shaft and there was plenty.. its just a bad cv, bearings go bad..sucks but oh'well.. so i hope that helps ya...

Cool, Hope your new shaft works out for you. I think I have traced my issue to the rear CV as well so looks like it is time to rebuild. Thanks for the info and I'm looking forward to seeing the new setup in action.

ive been working on the jeep a lil bit, got all my high steer working on tonight.. one ton chevy tie rods.. ive made both rods from 1 1/4" 5/16 wall tubing we had at the shop and drilled the ends out to 7/8-18 for tapping! had to work on the front long arm mount bolt because it was getting into my driveshaft lil bit...just lil bugs to work out...but i hope to have just about everything covered by the end of this weekend, may if i have time to move the rear upper spring mount back to where my spring is straight up and down. before next weekend to go to big dogs...
