EVOLUTION'S 97 tj

well guys im a newbie on the jeep form..... lil bit bout myself.. im 32 with wife and two kids 10 and 4 two boys...im a journeyman fabricator by trade now for 14 years... have my own shop at my house that i build anything from coon dog boxes to crawlers to full blown show trucks.. enough bout me..

i have a 97 tj 4.0... bought it with 3" lift and 33"s bfgs.. had it for lil over 2 years, first year christmas eve rolled it over in the field in front of my house because of ice 6 am in the morning.. yeah it sucked.. bent the fender and blew the tire and thats it..

things that i have done to it til the last two months..
4.5 rubi short arm
detroit locker in the 35
sliders and cage

things that i have done within the last two months
custom 4link in the rear
standard long arm in front for now
chromoly axles in rear
belly up pan
crusher corners with 4" flares
tube fenders with 4" flare
rebuilt trans and sye
tom woods rear driveshaft

9in and 44 plans for winter

im also a member for star city crawlers of Roanoke VA...

it aint the biggest jeep or toughest but ive had done everything myself and very lil has been bought for it... and i also thy to be different then what you can buy...

hope sometime i can see some of yaw guys and do some wheeling...

Chris, glad to see you are posting your build on here bud! Jeep is looking awesome. You think you will make a big dogs run this year to break in the new setup?

I have seen some of Chris' work first hand and it is top notch to say the least Keep up the good work!

this is one that i did on one like your jk... used the factory fog lights...
he wanted it for deer protection more than offroad...

and hell yeah man, i cant wait to go.... i just wish i had the money to build my axles to put under it... i cant wait to go wheeling....

i also kept my 4" teraflex springs to put back under it if i dont like the way it wheels with the 6" rubi springs.......

Hell yeah man! THat thing looks solid... I would want a stubby though, and more along the lines of your with a comp stinger. Full width with no fender flares would probably look kinda funny.

just about done with it today, brake lines and bled, exhaust was a pain in the *** with the 4 link in the rear, all fluids done... need to mount the rear shocks and tightin all the bolts up... test run on the road tomorrow...

got the jeep done today and was able to drive it to town and do lil flexing... im goin to need some limiting straps in the rear....

i love how the 4 link setup i did on it handles and rides, flex's like hell...
