I ordered my Brown Dog 1" MML today. Had some trouble placing the order but Carol and Tim at Brown Dog were able to solve everything and were extremely helpful! Great customer service! Can't wait to get the product.

Lookin forward to gettin the new MML in so that I can put my center console back in. BTW, I need to go to the junkyard to get a new fan shroud. Will the fan shroud out of a 4.0 XJ be the same as mine? Anyone know this off the top of their head?

no xj's fan set up is totally different. They have 1 electric fan and one small clutch fan each with a small shroud. The tj has the one big fan and one big shroud.

So in order to replace my fan shroud is there anything at a junkyard that would fit, or am I going to have to order a brand new one for a TJ?

Not really part of my "build," and I forgot to mention it a few weeks ago, but i won the PU-ROK Straps giveaway and they came in the other day. Thanks JF! Anyway I have used them several times already and these straps are awesome, especially because they were free! Hopefully I will get some pics of them in use on my Jeep relatively soon

I'm not sure if there is any other ones that will work, but you can always get one from a tj at junk yard. I know at the you pull it yard in Clayton they have i think 2 tj's from cash for clunkers, and one hasn't even been processed yet so its still all there. They sell stuff real cheap esp if its just plastic like a fan shroud, i'd imagine it'd be no more than 10 bucks there.

Ok, my stock swaybar is slightly faded, and on top of that the mounts where it bolts to the frame are rusty. Help me decide what color to paint the bar(I am painting the mounts black)

1)Paint it Cast Iron(same color kabowabo painted his diff covers) Heres a pic

2)Paint it black along with the mounts

3)Leave the bar and just paint the mounts black

Great color choice on the axles, i like option #1. Im not to concered any more with paint on under body parts, they are so scratched up and covered in a thick layer of dirt... so now, everything is brown.

Alec, those are kabowabos axles on his MJ. When I swap my 8.8 in I'm gonna go ahead and paint the D30 the same way though.
