Ya I realized I shoulda said something after you were already gone. My xj got beat on. Broke a u joint and yoke on my rear driveshaft. Nothing like driving back to SD in front wheel drive

See? Had I known,... I have several U joints in my trail tool bag....

I don't carry a spare yoke though.

Man, havn't been on here in a while...

Update on the XJ: Not much.

I welded up a set of JCR DIY bumpers a while ago, great kits!

I've been having problems with her overheating recently, I even thought about selling it and buying some crappy little car to commute in, Thank the rock gods that I have good jeepin buddys that brought me to my senses.... I may end up dropping a new motor in this thing or just rebuilding this one. Sucks cos it only has 175k miles on it.

I'm glad I made this thread for the XJ, it reminded me of all the stuff I've done to it and made me decide to keep it.

Here's a couple pics from the summer on Dishpan trail in Big Bear with the JCR bumpers on. If I can get this thing to stop overheating I'll get some snow pictures.

Did you ever get rid of your homemade bumper? Good thing you kept the XJ. A little engine work isn't bad

Yeah bubba, sold 'em both for a couple bills and some ammo...

A little engine work is fine, as long as it's not right around Christmas!! ARG!
