I trimmed the wheel wells up more, but even that, with the 4" bump stops wasn't enough, so I made some extensions.

Turned some 3" Delron on the lathe, drilled a hole and countersunk.

Dropped the axle out again, drilled a hole thru the coil bucket and bolted them in.

Full stuff to the bumps, I have about an inch and a half to the fender with the 35s on.

I also installed new brake pads and rotors today along with a set of G2 27 spline CroMo axle shafts. (peace of mind) I still have no intention of locking the front, but then again, I never intended to run 35" tires either.

Last two items on the list for this rig is a set of seats, and some bushwacker pocket style flairs. I don't like it when water splashes to the inside of the windshield when I drive thru a puddle with the window down. - haha

Quick snow run with my daughter today. Snow is kinda a big deal in SoCal.

Anyhow, XJ did great, This is exactly what she was built for.

Your jeep is the goal for mine, it looks really good. I got the color down and just need a bit more lift and 35s!

Been a while sense I last posted anything, Nothing major on the XJ, other than seats maybe, someday, she's pretty much done.

I did have to do some work on her last weekend, She was running funny.
I must have hit the CAT on something, broke one of the screens inside, and the pieces clogged up my muffler. So out with the sawz-all, off with the muffler, welded a new muffler in and she's happy again.

I just registered her a few weeks ago, so I shouldnt have to worry about passing smog with half of a CAT for another year.

Here's a couple pics from Blair Valley.

First one is coming thru "The Squeeze"

This one is just a cool pic, Had a mountain biker run out of water, so we picked him up and took him wheeling with us. His bike is on my roof rack.

I have not, nor do I plan to. I don't intend to put it in a situation where it would need it. Glorified dirt roads only! LOL

I ordered front and rear JCR DIY bumpers today... A buddy at work wants my old bumpers, he's giving me cash and 500 rounds of 5.56 NATO for them.

I'll snap pics as I build the bumpers.
