They're good, holding up well. I'll eventually put some hiline fenders on so I can run 39s

ya Mike, here's a couple shots of us putting it together, Not many, as we were working.

the Poison Spyder full weld in cage is pretty damn awesome. They CNC bend it and cut/notch it with a lazer... and it fits very well. We had to tril 1/4" off one tube only, everything else was perfect.

they also lazer etch numbers, and circles on the tubes to show where the other tubes will land, they even had rotation marks. - Very easy. Overall, it took us about 6 hrs, 2 was gutting the tub, making tabs for the seat belts, eating burritos,, 2 was tacking it up and getting it square, and 2 to finish weld it, knock off some berrys, and fit it back in and bolt it down.

There's some guys in my club that are interested n having cages installed, so I'm sure next time it will go a bit faster.

Pics (more/better pictures later.)

Tacking it in and squaring it up:

Finish welding the front passenger

Looks good!

What did you decide to do for the lap belt? Plans for cage to frame tie-ins at this point?

We welded the bungs I made in the outboard side, 3" from the floor on the new B-pillars. For the inboard side, I discovered that the material around the center hump is pretty tough, so I cut a coupoe pieces of 2" cold rolled flat bar down to 2.5" squares, welded these directly to the tub, and welded some tabs to them for the inboard side of the lap belts to bolt to.

Kinda hard to explain, I'll try to get pics up in the next few days.

Painted the cage today, and Rapterlined the tub. There's enough pics of roll on liners out there, I won't bore you with any more.
I will however get some shots of it back together, either tomorrow night or sunday.

Looking forward to the finished pics

How did you like the Raptor liner? Planning to do mine when the weather warms up because I'll also have the cage and everything apart to paint.

The hardest (most time consuming) part was the taping. laying it down was very easy and quick. It was actually much easier than I thought it would be. The instructions say it cures in 3-5 hrs above 50* weather, I would think cold weather wouldn't be a problem other than a longer cure time.

Oh, get a bunch of ear plugs and use them to fill the holes, they worked real good.

That's a good tip, thanks

It's RUNT'S Birthday!

I've had RUNT for a year now...

Feb 2010:

Yesterday:

Lots of money and TONS of fun!
Cage is in, box is in, Raptorliner is in, and I rattle bombed the 'spice' dash.

Will get pics soon.

I need to find a safari top that will fit right with my new Poison Spyder cage. I have the Rampage 2 piece Safari/bikini combo (zips in the middle to go from Safari to bikini) and it's not long enough to fit the back end of the cage right. May go down to the local 4WP and try on their tops...

Future mods:
Rockmen Hiline front fenders
Cut the rear wheel wells
39x10.5 Pitbulls or red labels (not sure yet)
Allied beadlocks (15" or 17", not sure yet)
Terralow 4:1 TC
6 speed tranny (1st gear is lower than my 5 speed)

I think I'll call her done for a while after this stuff is done. Might stretch it in the future, but no time soon.
