Why not Duratracs? You can get them for around the same price. Great all around A/T. I love mine.

I was really thinking about those. I found them for $230 a tire at 4wp, but the closest one to my house is over 100 miles away. The same place that has the trail diggers also carries toyo at2s for cheap. I wanted an AT, but I've heard good things about the trail diggers and I've seen then in person. So we'll see what the shop has and I'll update it once I know what I am officially getting

I loved my Duratracs on my last two Jeeps. I can't recommend them enough. You don't deal with snow like us though, so they may not be necessary for you.

I never knew Hercules made a mud tire. I had their Terra Trac ATs on my TJ at one point and loved them for the price. They were a surprisingly grippy tire for an all terrain. I imagine their mud tire should be even more impressive. $900 is also a killer price on a set of 35" muds for a 16" rim.

Still trying to sell the other tj, so I've been tinkering with that one trying to get it running good and looking good.

I'll be taking the gf to Sedona this weekend to map out soldiers pass, broken arrow, and greasy spoon (diamondback gulch) for my final project in a GPS class I'm taking. Should be fun!
You will like those sliders, I have them on my LJ and they have taken a beaten. Had them on my old TJ too.

If my local Big O can match the $909 for Trail diggers, then I go with those. Otherwise the shop said they are out of stock in both Flag and Phoenix and they don't know when they're getting more. They do have Falken Wild Peaks in stock though for $880 OTD. I know these have strong sidewalls, which is also what I wanted. Grooved and siped Wild Peaks?? Perfect all around A/T that might last me awhile...

Wild Peaks are supposed to be really good tires. Too heavy for my liking though.

What load range is that size falken? A lot of 16" tires are load range E and that means super stiff sidewalls and a rough riding tire on a Jeep. Otherwise I'm a big fan of the falken ATs. I have a set of 37s going on my LJ once I finish my axle swap.

I'll have to check. My current 255/85's are e load. I run them at 35psi and it just feels like a jeep, even softer than my tj with c load km2s

Those tires weigh almost 8lbs heavier than a MTR.
