Detailed my YJ today. See the so-far transformation, I got flex shots too!
Had an open day and we've got almost a week of clear weather ahead so I used today to clean up my rig. I've spent numerous hours on it prepping the paint for polishing (TONS of surface contamination), polishing it, waxing it, treating the flares with various products, painting/undercoating wheel wells and the undercarraige, buffing out the gel-coat on the hard top (You can't tell much but towards the top it's in rough shape so it's getting repainted this summer), lots of time invested into it's appearance. Today I finally finished up some of the prep work and finished polishing it, and got a couple coats of wax on it too. Then I drove around taking photos and took some time to see how it flexes. I unbolted my sway bar but left the trac bar on. I don't know if it restricted it any but I think without it I'd have a good 3/4" or more.
Products used on it were: P&S Ultracoat Wax (Sealant containing a trace of carnauba) P&S Par-K Wax, a liquid carnauba that gives off a really wet shine on darker colors P&S Spray-It spray wax for final inspection P&S Wipe N Shine on tires, Shine-All in wells and other areas How it looked when I got it: ![]() ![]() After today: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Flex pics in next post

Just pulled out some of the retaining wall blocks and crawled up on those. One word: LOCKERS! I know how much they would help now. You'll see in one of the pics that I had a block of wood I was trying to climb up and couldn't make it, the RF and LR were just spinning. Maybe if the trac-bar was unhooked as well it would have flexed a bit more and crawled up the block?
