Yeah they are not the same. Look at the picture I posted above and look at your picture. I have read about guys clamping them somehow. I live on a hill, so I didn't want to trust my parking brakes to a clamp.

finished cleaning up the 44, its all done except for gears and brakes, im going to keep the drums on there for now and if i have a little bit of cash later ill do the disk brake conversion.

i got a MML for xmas so i can now get rid of that dang transfer case drop

and as soon as i find the money for new gears, install kits, and a new D30 Carrier i can get some 4.88s and a Hp30 under there and get back to enjoying driving

and i did some HDRs because i got bored

Good looking jeep! You say you got an MML for Christmas...are you planning on a body lift as well? or can you just run an MML on its own?

thanks
its recommended to run the MML with a body lift but i didnt do one, the purpose of mine was just so i could get rid of my TC drop and not have horrible vibes. the install process was the same i just had to drill new holes in the fan shroud which wasnt difficult. i will add a body lift possible if i move to 35s.

hey guys ive gotten started on my axles with the help of flatlander757, he did a great write up so far about novice regearing which you can see hereRegearing of Jake92321's TJ D44

once we finish up the axle ill be putting it under either this weekend or next weekend and pulling the front DS till i work out a HP30 for the front.

i also redid my sway bar disconnects and will have pictures of the much better looking ones soon

got some updates

The d44 is done 4.88 gears install, thanks to flatlander757 regearing jake92321s tj d44 and i put new u-joints in the drive shaft so it is all ready to swap in when i get the chance.

and as of today i have a job and will now have money to spend on my addiction to the jeep
the main plan for this spring/summer
-HP30 with 4.88s (might attempt install myself)
-full size spare and besrk tire carrier/ bumper
-rockhard sports cage
-and possibly a SYE/CV
