Well since you've owned both.

Do you prefer the Yota or a Jeep Wrangler?

As far as performance on the trails, holding the gear you need, and just in general?

Honestly I prefer the toyota for several reasons.

First off let me say this is comparing a toyota to a YJ.

The toyota has a better wheelbase, I like the weight balance more, better stock equipment (axles, Tcase), and I also prefer the sitting position in a toyota truck. There is also something really fun about showing up to a trail ride and being in something different than everyone else.

That said, the need to do an SAS on the later toyotas is a big hurdle for some.

BTW I took it out wheeling today and I will post up some pics in a few minutes

I am not sure on all of the names, I know we did wildcat staircase, and No Name trail. Other than that it is all a blur.

I want to go back out there and get a good GPS map of the place

It threw a belt while we were going about 75mph down a country road. Luckily we did not have the trailer with us and we were on a straight away. We pretty much lost all steering and had to muscle the truck onto the shoulder. We had a ton of fluid pouring out from the ac compressor area.

I had to get the truck towed to a dodge dealership in Kerrville(about 3 hours from home) and leave the trailer at the ranch we were wheeling at (another hour past kerrville). So when they get the truck fixed I get to have my wife drive me out there to get the truck then go pick up the toyota and then head home. That is going to be a long day
