That is sweet, you are going to have too hook up with Dave and Javier from Javiers Autos/Gulf Coast Crawl Shop. Javier drives an FJ on 39.5's and Dave is building a Yota buggy on 39's.
I am going to keep them for a little while, I have a few things that need to be done before swapping out the tires. I will post them up for sale on the board when I do decide to unload them:thumbsup:
the beauty of toyotas as compared to jeeps, is that the axles can be built to handle alot of abuse. The only thing I am going to do to the axles is swap out the spools for detroits
I have not had a chance to get this thing out wheeling yet, but i have played around a little behind our station here at work.
We did some work on it here today, took the doors off, fixed the tailgate, added turn signals, moved the one working speaker to the center of the truck near the shifter.
Not much flex out back, but there is a plan for that
I drove forward off the tree and put a new dent on the front fender
with enough hammering the doors will go back on
and here is a shot of the relocated speaker, and a shot of all the shifters
Thanks man, I put in a lot of time the other day at work messing with the rig. I mounted and wired the winch off my old rig. I had to trim the grille quite a bit to make it all fit. I snapped a few better side shots of the rig... I can't wait to get this thing out on the trails.
I think it is about time to update this thread a little. Not alot has changed just a few new dents. I have 38 inch SXs on order aswell as Staun internal beadlocks. I will also add a cage in the next month
here are some wheeling shots
and here is a picture of it today. I will post up some new pics when the tires and beadlocks are on
