That's not the first time I was told to stay away from the AAL. Some people say they have gotten better but I believe it when people say that they will start to sag. I am trying to be cost conscious for this build but your right. It would make sense to get the full packs.

The Mrs gave the go ahead on the Treadwright MTR's due to the price and lack of availability on the KM2's.

Also have the thumbs up on full spring packs. This is just a build on paper right now but parts should be rolling in soon.

I'll be curious to see those MTRs and how they compare with the love of my life, the KM2s. LOL.

The thing that has me flabbergasted is how much cheaper XJs are to build than TJ's. The prices reflect TJs as if they are made of gold or something.

Maybe I should sell/trade the TJ for a 9'er or something. That would be sweet.

new radiator and some relocation

I got home from work today and started taking apart the front end of the XJ so I could swap in the third replacement CSF radiator tonight. JeepWJ came over and gave a hand so I am thankful for that. He also helped me extend some wiring on the horns that I relocated. I also relocated the vacuum bulb for the cruse control.

We talked a bit tonight and I have pretty much settled on a 3 inch full spring pack lift running 31' Treadwright MTR's. I have some wheeling events I have to get the TJ ready for so Lift ETA is late August early September.

Here are some crappy cell phone pictures. I really want a new bumper with D ring tabs.

cracked windshield and banged up passenger side drainage rail. I was very pleased with the stock XJ offroad. I am just lacking ground clearance right now.

That will change soon.

Just saying, if the stock leafs aren't in too bad of shape, AALs with be just fine. I've had my 3" RC AAL for just over 2 years with MAYBE a little less than a qtr inch of sag... Been well worth the 255$ It all depends on how the leafs are now.

Leafs are already starting to sag quite a bit. Going to go with full packs.

I was going to have the crack in the windshield repaired today. However, it rained a ton and it cracked further. About 8 inches long now.

sigh...

So I got rear-ended at lunch today

The receiver hitch took most of the damage. The bumper is toast, and it pushed it up into the tailgate. Got his information. Filed Police report. Waiting...

The impact pushed the bumper up into the tailgate so the tailgate no longer opens. The lock also will not unlock. Who knows if the receiver hitch is structurally sound. Bumper is toast. It used to be flush with the hitch receiver.
