Thanks man! I'm really happy with how its coming together!

LOL! Recent discussions relating to our primary state of residency may put some build plans on an immediate temporary hold. I'll keep you posted. You're first in line if & when it does fall out.

This whole tube bending & fabrication thing is starting a slippery slope. Thoughts on something along these lines. I would like to maintain everything that is in the stock dash, heat, AC, radio, new gauges, but monitor same things, turn signals, high beam indicator, CEL, 4WD indicator, etc. 12 volt guy has a nice dash panel that I would more than likely incorporate. I'd probably maintain the stock steering column & wheel for each of turn signals etc, & safety.

I like it.

If it's worth doing, then it's worth overdoing.

Here is what I am thinking about.....

Next winters project as of right now. My plan is to actually try and diagram my design, then build a Jig to build it, then start acquiring the gauges/switches, then hopefully take out the old dash and replace with the new one.

I don't look for problems....They find me.

Took a break from cage work to mock up a winch guard for the new bumper. What a pain in the *** to get everything oriented right to tack it. 5 arms would have been helpful here. I'm going to build a jig & cut the tacks & tack it all back together. Now you can all see the reason for the crazy shark fin clevis mounts.

After that was done I got the cross bars for the seat mounts tacked in. Going to get some steel for the seat mounts & work on those tomorrow. Pine Wood Derby tonight, so no Jeep work!

And a shot of my boy playing on his new jungle gym.

That winch guard is awesome; as we discussed, it does seem hard to make. Could you straighten the vertical parts to eliminate some of the complexity, or would that screw up the look?

I think that would screw up the look. With the jig it'll be a breeze. It was just hard trying to hold 3 tubes that needed to lean forward & then the top tube flat & a mig gun all at once. Bendtech gives me all the notching templates, so that's no big deal. I already have the jig figured out. Just need to build it. It'll locate everything & provide a template to mark the cut angle on the bottom.
